Dhanbad: BBMKU’s new campus to be dedicated to students on March 23. BBMKU’s sixth foundation day celebration to be graced by the governor
Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU), Dhanbad is gearing up to celebrate its sixth foundation day on March 23. The event will be attended by Governor CP Radhakrishnan as the chief guest. The governor is expected to dedicate the university’s new campus at Bhelatand to the students of Dhanbad and Bokaro districts.
Due to the governor’s altered plan, the BBMKU administration has rescheduled the foundation day event. The governor will arrive at 3.30 PM and depart for Ranchi an hour later. Earlier, the governor was supposed to arrive in Dhanbad at 11.30 am, but he will first attend a celebration at Sido Kanhu Murmu University in Dumka before travelling to Dhanbad.
After the Chancellor’s brief remark, the Vice-Chancellor Dr Sukhdeo Bhoi and the pro-vice-chancellor Dr PK Poddar will be the only speakers at the event. The felicitation of teachers and any further events that were to be held in the Chancellor’s presence that day has been postponed until later.
To make the event memorable, the Vice Chancellor, Dr Sukhdeo Bhoi, has formed various committees of senior officials and teachers. Since BBMKU’s new campus is already inaugurated, the chancellor will provide department’s access to the space. The university is excited to celebrate its sixth foundation day and aims to make it a memorable one.
