India vs Australia 2nd Test Highlights

Must read

India put on a commanding display to clinch a six-wicket victory against Australia in the second Test in New Delhi. This victory takes them to an unassailable 2-0 lead in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Cheteshwar Pujara scored the winning runs and was unbeaten on 31, alongside KS Bharat who finished with 23 off 22 balls. India lost KL Rahul early on in their chase of 115 runs, but Rohit Sharma and Pujara managed to stabilize the innings before Rohit was run-out for 31. Virat Kohli was stumped for 20, and Shreyas Iyer threw away his wicket for 12. Pujara, however, remained firm and drove India to victory.

Ravindra Jadeja was the star for India with seven wickets, while R Ashwin picked up three wickets to pack Australia for 113 in their second innings.

The day started with Ashwin striking early in the first over, removing Travis Head for 43. Steve Smith was then dismissed LBW for 9. Jadeja then took over and cleaned up Marnus Labuschagne for 35. The demolition continued with Matt Kuhnemann being the final Australian batter to be dismissed. Pujara, who was making his 100th Test appearance, added another feather to his cap by scoring the winning runs. The victory is a significant milestone for India as they continue their winning streak against Australia. The third Test of the series will take place on March 9th in Kolkata.
